First seen Feb 20, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tested whether using a laser for oral biopsies in people with oral lichen planus leads to similar healing and comfort as the standard punch scalpel method. 112 adults took part, and researchers measured wound healing and pain after the procedure. The goal was to see if the laser is a good alternative for diagnosing this chronic mouth condition.
