Laser vs. chemical: which is better for a painful skin condition?

NCT ID NCT07420452

Summary

This study aims to find out which of two common, less-invasive treatments works better for a painful skin condition called pilonidal sinus disease. Researchers will randomly assign 200 patients to receive either laser treatment (Silac) or a chemical treatment (phenol). They will then follow patients for six months to see which group has fewer cases of the condition coming back, less pain, faster healing, and higher satisfaction.
