Summary
This study tested two different light treatments to reduce redness in scars from injuries or surgery on the head and neck. Forty people with scars less than six months old received four sessions of either a long-pulsed ND:YAG laser or intense pulsed light. The goal was to see which treatment worked better and was safer for improving scar appearance.
