Gentle laser tested to ease Kids' dental pain after treatment

NCT ID NCT07290049

Summary

This study is testing if a gentle laser can make a tooth-saving procedure less painful for children and young adults with severe toothaches. Participants will have a 'pulpotomy,' which removes only the infected part of the tooth's nerve, and then be randomly assigned to have the tooth sealed with a special material alone, or with the material plus a laser treatment. The main goal is to see which approach leads to less pain in the hours and days after the procedure.
