First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding a medicine called tranexamic acid to a standard laser treatment can better lighten dark burn scars. 30 adults with scars older than 6 months will have each scar split in half—one half gets laser plus the medicine, the other half gets laser plus salt water. After 3 sessions, doctors will compare the results using a special skin color index.
