Shining a light on youth sports pain: laser therapy trial seeks young athletes
NCT ID NCT07446517
Summary
This study is testing whether a special low-level laser treatment can help reduce pain and improve daily and sports activities in children and teens with common overuse injuries in the knee (Osgood-Schlatter) or heel (Sever's disease). Researchers will compare the real laser treatment to a fake 'sham' laser that looks and feels the same but doesn't work, to see if the real treatment is more effective. The goal is to gather initial information on safety and whether this approach is worth studying in a larger future trial.
