Laser showdown: can light therapy ease severe face pain?

NCT ID NCT07590414

First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests two non-invasive laser treatments—high-intensity and low-level—to see which better reduces pain and improves daily life for people with trigeminal neuralgia, a condition causing sudden, severe facial pain. About 38 adults who haven't found relief from drugs or can't have surgery will receive one of the two laser therapies. Pain levels and quality of life will be tracked over 12 weeks.
