Could a simple laser treatment help moms breastfeed longer?

NCT ID NCT04259619

Summary

This study tested whether low-level laser therapy could help breastfeeding mothers with painful, sore nipples. Researchers wanted to see if the laser treatment could reduce pain, speed up healing, and potentially help mothers continue breastfeeding longer. The study compared the laser treatment to a placebo in about 96 participants.
