Shining a light on pain: can lasers ease chronic shoulder suffering?
NCT ID NCT07352787
Summary
This study is testing whether a treatment called high-intensity laser therapy can help people with chronic pain in their neck and shoulder muscles. Researchers will compare the real laser treatment to a fake (sham) treatment in 104 adults to see which one better reduces pain, improves movement and function, and lessens feelings of depression. They will check how participants feel right after treatment and again 16 weeks later.
