Laser light targets sciatica pain in new trial

NCT ID NCT06151704

Summary

This study tested whether a high-power laser treatment could help people with sciatica pain caused by a herniated disc in their lower back. Researchers compared a real laser treatment to a fake one in 36 patients to see if it reduced pain, improved movement, and lessened disability. The goal was to find a safe, non-invasive option to manage this common and often debilitating pain.
