Could a laser zap away that unscratchable itch?
NCT ID NCT07356362
Summary
This study is testing whether a high-power laser treatment can help people with a chronic nerve condition called notalgia paresthetica, which causes persistent itching, tingling, and pain on the upper back. Researchers will compare the real laser treatment to a fake (sham) treatment in 40 participants to see if it reduces symptoms and improves quality of life. The goal is to find a new, non-invasive option for this hard-to-treat condition.
