Laser zaps away acne Drug's debilitating side effect

NCT ID NCT07264153

Summary

This study is testing whether a non-invasive laser treatment can reduce severe back and hip pain that is a known side effect of the powerful acne medication isotretinoin. It will involve 50 young adults (ages 18-35) who developed this pain while taking the drug. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the high-intensity laser therapy or a different standard treatment to compare their pain relief and improvement in daily function.
