First seen Nov 12, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests whether a low-level laser (Nd:YAG) applied to the gums after a tooth extraction can speed up healing and reduce pain. About 39 adults will either get the laser treatment on days 1, 3, and 7 after surgery, or standard care without the laser. Researchers will measure healing by checking wound size, pain levels, and markers of inflammation in saliva.
