Shining a light on dental implant infections
NCT ID NCT07287956
Summary
This study tested whether adding a special oxygen laser treatment to regular cleaning helps control infections around dental implants. Sixteen adult participants with at least two infected implants received the laser treatment with a cleaning solution on one implant and just the laser on another for comparison. Researchers measured gum health and bacteria levels over three months to see which approach worked better.
