Shining a light on implant infections: new study tests laser treatment
NCT ID NCT07191522
Summary
This study is testing whether a light-activated therapy can help treat infections around dental implants without surgery. Researchers will compare this photodynamic therapy against standard cleaning tools in 60 patients with peri-implantitis. The goal is to see which approach better reduces infection, inflammation, and bone loss around implants over six weeks.
