Shining a light on bad breath: laser therapy tested
NCT ID NCT06764342
Summary
This study tested whether adding a special laser treatment to standard gum cleaning and tongue scraping helps control chronic bad breath in people with serious gum disease. Researchers worked with 40 adults who had both conditions. They measured bad breath using a professional's sense of smell and a machine that detects smelly gases before and after the quick treatments.
