Laser under the microscope: can new tool make cataract surgery safer?

NCT ID NCT07362043

Summary

This study is monitoring a new handheld laser tool already in use during cataract surgery. Researchers are observing 446 patients to see if the laser causes tears in the eye's lens capsule less than 2% of the time. The goal is to gather more safety data after the tool's initial approval to confirm it performs as expected in real-world use.
