Laser combo may cut injection burden for common eye condition
NCT ID NCT04444492
First seen May 10, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding targeted laser treatment to standard ranibizumab injections can reduce the total number of injections needed for people with macular edema caused by central retinal vein occlusion. About 88 adults with this condition will receive either injections alone or injections plus laser. The goal is to see if the combination leads to a longer treatment-free period and fewer injections overall.
