Shine a light on faster braces? laser tested to speed up tooth movement

NCT ID NCT07390357

Summary

This small study tested whether shining a special low-level red laser light on teeth could make them move faster during orthodontic treatment. Eighteen adults with braces had the laser applied to one side of their mouth but not the other, to compare the difference. The goal was to see if this painless light therapy could safely shorten the overall time needed to wear braces.
