Laser blasts kidney stones: new study reveals what makes treatment work

NCT ID NCT07153978

Summary

This study looked at how well a special laser works to break up large kidney stones during a minimally invasive procedure. Researchers followed 81 patients with large stones to see if the stone's hardness affected how easily the laser could break it apart. They measured treatment success by how many patients became stone-free and tracked any complications from the procedure.
