Laser zaps bladder leaks in new trial
NCT ID NCT03996070
Summary
This study tested if a specific laser treatment could help women with stress urinary incontinence, where small amounts of urine leak during activities like coughing or sneezing. Thirty women who hadn't improved with standard exercises were randomly assigned to receive either the real laser treatment or a sham (fake) procedure over three sessions. Researchers measured changes in leakage and quality of life over a year to see if the laser was effective.
