Zap the pain: laser tested for faster healing after tooth pulls

NCT ID NCT06481293

Summary

This study tested if a special laser treatment could help heal painful 'dry sockets' faster in people who smoke after a tooth is pulled. 50 smokers with this painful condition were split into two groups: one got laser therapy three times a week, and the other got a standard medicated paste. Researchers measured how quickly the socket healed and how much pain people felt over two weeks.
