Gentle laser zaps eyelid vessels to soothe severe dry eye
NCT ID NCT04425551
Summary
This study tested a new, gentle laser treatment for people with severe dry eye caused by blocked eyelid glands. It aimed to see if using the laser to treat tiny, inflamed blood vessels on the eyelid could reduce eye irritation and improve tear quality. The study involved 30 participants who had not found relief from standard treatments like warm compresses and eye drops.
