First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 19, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study is testing a laser eye procedure to see if it can prevent retinal detachment in children and adults with Stickler syndrome, a genetic condition that raises the risk of serious eye problems. Researchers will compare the laser treatment to the natural course of the disease using historical data. Participants will have the laser procedure in one or both eyes and return for checkups over five years.
