Summary

This study tested a laser procedure to correct nearsightedness (myopia) in 357 adults aged 22 and older. The goal was to safely reduce or eliminate the need for glasses or contact lenses by reshaping the cornea with a femtosecond laser. The procedure was found to be effective for most participants, with many achieving 20/40 vision or better without correction.
