High-Tech laser trial aims to ease stroke Survivors' shoulder pain

NCT ID NCT07501416

Summary

This study is testing whether a treatment combining high-intensity laser therapy with exercise can help reduce shoulder pain and improve movement in people who have had a stroke. Sixty participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the real laser treatment or a sham (fake) laser, combined with exercise, over four weeks. Researchers will measure changes in pain, shoulder function, and muscle structure using ultrasound to see if the laser therapy provides extra benefit.
