New laser therapy tested to ease painful menopause symptoms

Summary
This study is testing whether adding a special vaginal laser treatment to a standard estrogen cream works better than the cream alone for relieving uncomfortable symptoms of menopause. These symptoms include vaginal dryness, burning, and pain during sex. The study will involve 60 postmenopausal women, who will be randomly assigned to receive either the real laser treatment or a pretend 'sham' laser, along with the estrogen cream, to see which combination provides more relief.
