Summary

This study is testing a new laser-assisted ultrasound technique to help doctors place catheters in the radial artery of infants and young children during major surgery. The goal is to make the procedure more successful on the first try, reduce complications, and improve safety. Researchers will compare this new method against a standard ultrasound technique in 360 children under 2 years old.
