Shining a light on Kids' ear troubles: laser acupuncture study seeks answers

Summary
This study is testing whether laser acupuncture can help children who have fluid buildup behind the eardrum, a condition called otitis media with effusion (OME). Researchers will give 32 children either real laser acupuncture or a fake (sham) procedure, along with standard decongestant medicine, over two weeks. They want to see if the laser treatment improves ear function and reduces the chance of the fluid coming back within a month.
