Summary
This study is testing the safety of a new implanted device, like a pacemaker for the voice box, for people with paralyzed vocal cords. The device uses small electrical pulses to try to open the vocal cords to improve breathing and may also help with speaking. Eight adult participants with long-term paralysis are having the device implanted to see if it helps.
