Summary
This trial tests a combination of chemotherapy and immunotherapy drugs given before surgery for advanced throat cancer. The goal is to shrink tumors enough so that some patients can avoid having their entire voice box removed, which requires breathing through a hole in the neck for life. Researchers will measure how well the treatment works to control the cancer and how many patients can keep their larynx.
