Summary

This study reviews medical records of 1,200 patients who had a breathing tube placed during surgery to find out how often voice box injuries occur and what factors increase the risk. The goal is to help doctors reduce these injuries and improve recovery. Participants are adults who had non-ear-nose-throat surgeries and needed a specialist consult for voice or throat problems after the procedure.
