First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tests whether transplanting a donor larynx (voice box) can safely restore function in people who have lost their larynx due to injury, disease, or surgery. Up to 10 adults with severe larynx problems will receive a transplant and be followed for at least one year to check graft survival, voice quality, swallowing, and breathing. The goal is to offer a new reconstructive option for those with no other good treatments.
