New throat electrode tested for safer voice disorder diagnosis

NCT ID NCT05245942

Summary

This study is collecting information about a medical device called the ECE50, which helps doctors diagnose problems with throat muscles that affect voice and breathing. The device delivers gentle electrical stimulation through an endoscope during routine medical exams to see how muscles respond. Researchers are monitoring 384 adults with suspected vocal fold or larynx muscle disorders to confirm the device is safe and works as intended during normal medical practice.
