New drug targets rare gene to fight advanced cancers

Summary
This study tests a pill called larotrectinib in people with advanced solid tumors that have too many copies of the NTRK gene. The drug blocks enzymes that help cancer cells grow. About 13 participants will take the drug to see if their tumors shrink or stop growing.
