NCT ID NCT07388082

First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study compared two surgical methods for treating a rare cancer near the pancreas (periampullary adenocarcinoma). Forty patients were randomly assigned to either keyhole (laparoscopic) or open surgery. The main goal was to see which approach leads to fewer complications, especially a leak from the pancreas. Results help doctors decide the best surgical option for these patients.
