Minimally invasive vs traditional kidney surgery: which helps patients recover faster?
NCT ID NCT07461090
Summary
This study compares two surgical approaches for removing diseased or cancerous kidneys: laparoscopic (using small incisions and a camera) versus traditional open surgery. Researchers will measure which method leads to shorter hospital stays, fewer complications, better recovery, and lower costs. The study includes 60 patients with non-functioning kidneys or localized kidney cancer who need surgery.
