First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tested whether using a robot helps surgical interns learn a key procedure faster. 34 interns were split into two groups: one trained with robotic assistance and one without. They were timed while performing a kidney removal (nephrectomy) on a pig model. The goal was to see which training method leads to quicker surgery.
