Brain training breakthrough? new study aims to help kids with language disorder think more clearly
NCT ID NCT06880731
Summary
This study is testing a new training method to help children with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) improve their thinking and problem-solving skills. Researchers will teach 75 children aged 8-10 to use self-talk to guide their actions during a computer sorting game. The goal is to see if this 'verbal mediation' training helps kids with DLD switch between tasks more easily and improves their brain's response to cues.
