First seen Nov 12, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looked at whether showing written words helps children ages 3 to 6 learn new action words. Researchers had 170 typically developing kids watch videos of actions, hear made-up names for them, and then test how well they remembered the words. They also measured each child's letter knowledge to see if reading skills affected how much the text helped.
