Scientists probe hidden link between sound and grammar in Kids' brains

NCT ID NCT04996472

Summary

This research study aimed to understand if a common difficulty in learning patterns connects the sound and grammar problems seen in children with developmental language disorder (DLD). Researchers tested children with DLD, speech sound disorder, and typically developing children to see how they learn different sound pattern rules. The goal was to find clues for earlier diagnosis and more effective therapy approaches by targeting this core learning skill.
