Scientists probe hidden link in Kids' language learning struggles
NCT ID NCT04531514
Summary
This study aimed to understand if a common difficulty in learning patterns connects the sound and grammar problems seen in children with developmental language disorder (DLD). Researchers tested 105 toddlers and children, including those with typical development and those with DLD or speech sound disorders, to see how they learned different types of sound rules. The goal was to gather knowledge that could lead to better future tests and teaching methods, not to provide a direct treatment during the study.
