Summary
This study tests whether a fast-acting drug called landiolol can keep heart rate below 90 beats per minute during major surgery, which may reduce the risk of heart injury. It involves 114 adults aged 45 or older with heart risk factors who are having elective non-cardiac surgery. The goal is to see if this approach is practical enough for a larger trial.
