Heart implant aims to replace blood thinners for stroke prevention

NCT ID NCT04684212

Summary

This study planned to test a small heart implant called the LAmbre Plus device in people with atrial fibrillation who are at risk of stroke. The device is designed to seal off a small pouch in the heart where clots often form, offering an alternative to taking daily blood-thinning pills. The trial was withdrawn before any patients were enrolled, so no results are available.
