Scientists hunt for blood clues to perfect dose for devastating lung disease

NCT ID NCT03304678

Summary

This study aimed to find clues in blood and urine that could help doctors determine the best dose of the drug sirolimus for women with LAM, a rare and progressive lung disease. Researchers followed 33 women who were starting sirolimus treatment, collecting samples after their first dose and again at 3 and 9 months. The goal was to identify biological markers that change with the drug, which could one day lead to more personalized dosing.
