Summary
This study tested a capsule containing two types of live lactobacilli (good bacteria) placed in the vagina to treat bacterial vaginosis, a common infection. 66 women aged 18 to 50 took part. The goal was to see if the capsule could cure the infection by restoring normal vaginal bacteria, with no need for ongoing medication.
