Summary
This study tested whether a capsule containing two types of live lactobacillus (good bacteria) placed in the vagina can safely treat bacterial vaginosis, a common infection. The trial involved 66 women aged 18 to 50 and compared the capsule to a placebo. The main goal was to see if the capsule could restore normal vaginal discharge and eliminate signs of infection.
