Could your labor position make birth less traumatic?
NCT ID NCT07383181
Summary
This study compared two upright positions—standing and squatting—during the first stage of labor for women having their second or later baby. Researchers wanted to see if one position was better for comfort, pain, and reducing the feeling of a traumatic birth. They measured labor duration, pain levels, comfort, and the mothers' birth experience in 82 participants.
