New epidural technique aims to reduce medication use during childbirth
NCT ID NCT06849726
Summary
This study compared two methods of epidural pain relief for women in labor. Researchers wanted to see if a newer technique (dural puncture epidural) could provide similar pain relief using less medication and with fewer side effects than the standard epidural. They looked at 100 women in active labor to measure pain control, medication amounts, and patient satisfaction.
