First seen Jan 27, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study looks at the best way to start labor for pregnant women whose water breaks before labor begins, when the cervix is not yet ready. Researchers will compare using a vaginal insert to soften the cervix followed by IV medicine, versus IV medicine alone. The goal is to see which method leads to more vaginal births and fewer complications for mothers and babies.
