First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study looks at two common ways to give pain relief (fentanyl) to women during childbirth: one injected into the spinal fluid and one into the space around the spine. The goal is to see which method causes less itching, a common side effect. About 80 women in labor will take part, and researchers will also track other side effects like nausea, low blood pressure, and how satisfied the mothers are with their pain relief.
